Abu Dhabi Judiciary Delegation Explores Digital Systems and Rehabilitation Centers in Kazakhstan
A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), led by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the ADJD, reviewed the latest artificial intelligence technologies and digital systems integrated into the justice system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, particularly mechanisms for automating mediation and conciliation and accelerating enforcement, alongside initiatives for rehabilitating inmates of correctional institutions and reintegrating them into society.
Leadership directives to strengthen international cooperation
The visit comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the ADJD, on the need to reinforce institutional excellence, review the best judicial and technical practices worldwide, and strengthen international partnerships to consolidate the rule of law.
The UAE delegation included Counsellor Ali Mohamed Al Blooshi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; Counsellor Ali Al Shaer Al Dhaheri, Director of the Judicial Inspection Department; Brigadier Faisal Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Correctional and Rehabilitation Centres Sector; and Abdullah Saif Zahran, Director of Strategic Planning, with the participation of Dr Mohamed Al Ariqi, UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
Field tours and insight into litigation practices
The delegation's tour included visits to the criminal and commercial courts and correctional and rehabilitation centres in Kazakhstan, where it reviewed the organisational structure of the courts, field-work mechanisms, and rehabilitation programmes offered to inmates. The two sides discussed ways to facilitate the customer journey to ensure the timely delivery of justice.
Visit to the Astana International Financial Centre Court
The delegation concluded its tour with a field visit to the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Court, where it reviewed the centre's advanced legal environment and the sophisticated technical mechanisms it applies to resolve commercial and investment disputes in accordance with the highest international standards.
